Early reports claim that Samsung will start production of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus at the end of 2017 and if that happens then it is likely that the handsets will debut earlier in 2018 than the Samsung Galaxy S8 did in 2017. This hints at a launch for the Samsung Galaxy S9 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of February 2018.
