The newest handsets from Samsung: Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will debut in just a couple of days. The release date has been announced, so we will be following Samsung at its official launch event at MWC 2018 (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona live on February 26, 2018 at 6am NZT.
Kiwis can now start pre-registering on Samsung's website to be one of the first to know about Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus when they are released.
It is worth noting that the Galaxy S9 and S9 plus are likely to have a similar design and specs to the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus, however, with added features and improvements. Along with the usual glass back, metal frame and a gorgeous, practically bezel-free curved display, there are some of the changes that are rumoured for new flagship models. The fingerprint scanner is probably going to be moved below the camera, rather than beside it. The camera is expected to see big changes, has become the highlight of Samsung's sneak peek slogan for the event: "The camera. Reimagined." Hinting that Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will both get great improvements, with getting two lenses for S9 Plus, and a variable aperture for S9.
